Sleepy Time... And the Livin' Is Easy

Since Jessey posted a picture of her sleeping child in a post about how she's stays awake, I thought I'd post a picture of my wide-awake child in a post about how he sleeps.

I almost hate to post this for fear of jinxing it, but Mr. Man has slept through the night for TWO nights in a ROW. And when I say "through the night" I mean he has slept from 7pm-ish PAST 6am. I cannot say for sure what time he woke up this morning because as of this posting, he is still asleep.

Well, he did wake briefly while I was in the shower, but Chris plunked his magical paci back in his mouth and he's gone back off to La-La Land. Looks like Chris has too...

And Athena woke up screaming a moment ago, but never came out of her room. She seems to have drifted off again as well. So I'm the only one awake.

OH! She's awake. I just looked up and like a ghostly apparition, Athena is standing in the darkened hallway outside our room. That scared the bejeezus out of me! Perhaps I should see to her nourishment.

First off, Marcus is SO cute. So friggin cute. Here's hoping he keeps loving to sleep.

Second, Elizabeth does that same thing, quietly appearing in hallways or right beside you.
And then she'll say (in a raspy, I just woke up whisper) "I'm awake"
and even though I know she's my little darling daughter it creeps me out big time.

I got him up at 7:45 - he was asleep in my arms as I was taking him to the changing table when he opened his eyes. The look on his face was "What the Fu-?" but he followed it with a smile quickly, so all was good.

I would also like to point out that his two bottom teeth have finally punched through, so it's official.

I have a cousin who used to live with us. When he was 3, he would creep up and stand by the bed and watch me sleep. When I half open my eyes, sensing a being staring at me, he would put his face in my face. And then he'll say "You not dead?"

Teeth already!?
Dylan still has no teeth. It took Elizabeth forever...I expect the same with him.

Athena was just as quick to get teeth. We're really carnivorous in my family.

I guess we're more into yogurt and soup over here! :)

It just struck me that Athena does indeed have that "Drowned Chinese Girl Ghost Movie" hairstyle. She'd be a pretty eerie-looking shadowy apparition!
