I Give Up

Just when I get one part of my life together, another part falls apart. Just once, I'd like to have it all together. The house in order, the bills paid, my job enjoyable and reasonably caught up, and all of my family in love with each other. My friends all healthy, my dog not wheezy and shakey, my cats not being killed by neighbors... What if one day all could be in place and well? Would it cause the Earth to stop rotating? I wonder...

I hate days when some things are going so well that they have to be counterbalanced by crapulence. And then I hate how I act on those days. I hate me for being so hateful. It's worse than chasing your own tail.

Sorry to be so cryptic, but that's all you're getting. I just had to vent. Thanks.

Hmmm, I'm intrigued...my thoughts are with you during this trial.

but, you NEED not say more, if you REALLY don't want to...though I must admit...I really want to know...

Things will be better tomorrow. That's what "they" always say!

Hey Elizabeth,
If you got a day (or even a minute) where everything was perfect, don't you think everybody else would want one too? Can you imagine how complicated it would be for whoever arranges such things, especially when one person's idea of perfection is in conflict with another's? Maybe the earth WOULD stop rotating. Still, I hope things improve to a reasonable level for you before too long.

Thanks, everyone. It really was/is a small thing. And my wonderful hubby talked me through it. Although the house IS still a mess... but I am beginning to think that will never change.

I have totally given up making my house spotless. Between Troy, Juju and the dog, I figure if I can keep one room clean for one day I deserve an award.

hey, you'll have a spotless house, approximately June 14th, 2025, when the lil' guy moves out for college.
