Books and Meme

Jumping on the Jessey Bandwagon!

I resisted the STRONG temptation to make comments… especially when technically some works are named twice. (Last time I checked, Hamlet was included in the Complete Works of William Shakespeare.)

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you love.
4) Strike out the books you have no intention of ever reading, or were forced to read at school and hated.

I guess Hamlet is even better than complete!
Or the Complete Works are complete without Hamlet?
Not sure...

You hated The Lovely Bones?
Interesting. I liked it, but I love Cold Case, so I'm like that.

WTF you don't have To Kill a Mockingbird underlined. I think none of you did, actually.

Lovely Bones is too depressing. I read to escape. Life sucks enough. You'll notice I'm not a big fan of Dickens either. Similar reasons.

Amy, TKAM is sooooooooo high school. ;-)

I liked TKAM, don't get me wrong. Atticus Finch was the man. It's just not a book I keep coming back to reread.

Whatever, I read it in JUNIOR HIGH, totally unforced.

To Kill a Mockingbird is my all-time favorite. Half my family is from Alabama, and my grandfather (an Alabama native) looked just like Gregory Peck, who played Atticus in the movie. I could read it and watch it over and over again.
